Medium-sized, smooth, deep red globes that retain their colour well when canned. The sweet and buttery roots lend themselves well to raw eating, as well as roasting, which brings out the sweet full flavour. The short tops can also be used either raw when picked young or cooked.
This variety is tolerant of poor soil and crowding, holding its shape well.
